Getting here on foot

We’re located on Queens Road just off Park Street, around a ten minute walk from the city centre.

Bicycle stands can be found next to the pedestrian crossing opposite Browns restaurant.

Getting here by bus

Bus numbers 1, 2, 4, 8, 9 and 72 all travel past the museum up Park Street and from the Clifton Triangle.

Getting here by train

Bristol Temple Meads train station is a 25 minute walk away.
Clifton Down train station is a 15 minute walk away.

Both stations are served by the 1, 2, 8 and 9 bus services which stop near the museum.

Getting here by car

The museum is around two miles from the M32 on Queen’s Rd (BS8 1RL).

You can park in any of the city car parks but the closest two are West End (BS8 1EH) and Trenchard Street (BS1 5AN), both about a five minute walk away.

Getting here by boat

You can catch a ferry from Bristol Temple Meads train station and Hotwells to the city centre, which is a 10 minute walk away up Park Street.

Boats run every 40-50 minutes – visit the Bristol Ferry Boats website for timetables and fares.

Getting here by coach

The museum is around two miles from the M32 on Queens Rd (BS8 1RL).

Coaches/minibuses can drop off and pick up at the front entrance on Queens Road – there are no parking facilities, and there’s no waiting at any time. Please note it’s a very busy road.
