Curator talk: Colour in Nature
Is the world really the colours we see it as?
We live in a stunningly beautiful colourful world which we take for granted every day. We assume that all animals see the world as we do, but is that so?
Colours are generated in different ways, through the use of pigments or through reflecting and refracting light. Join this talk to find out more about how particular animals and plants generate colours and how they use them as signals to other animals.
The specimens from the museum natural history collections will help you view the world through different eyes.

Ray Barnett, formerly Head of Collections and Curator of Natural History at Bristol Museums
