The Secret Life of Colour – Lates

Join us after hours for a chilled-out evening of art, music, and good vibes.

We are doing a limited run of late-night openings for The Secret Life of Colour, perfect for a post-work hang out or an arty date night! We will also be hosting a selection of local DJs to fill the halls with groovy beats and providing drawing materials so you can sip and sketch. Grab a drink and take in the sights and sounds of our incredible building.

The Secret Life of Colour

From Pop Art to Pointillism, the exhibition brings together art, natural history and science to examine how colour is made and used in nature, as well as how it influences our emotions, cultures and understanding of the world.

Timed entry to the exhibition

• 6pm – 7pm
• 7pm – 8pm
• 8pm – 9pm

Visual display

From 6pm to 9pm, watch as our rear hall is transformed into a stunning display of light and movement with our exciting new projection mapping technology. The projection mapping is exclusive to the late opening events and courtesy of our digital team here at the museum.

Music – Artists to be announced!

From 6pm to 9pm, catch sets from a collection of Bristol’s best DJs. Artists to be announced.

Sip and Sketch Activity

Drawing supplies will be provided, if you’ve been struck with inspiration sit back with a drink and let your creative thoughts flow! You are welcome to bring your own sketchbooks if you wish, however please do not bring any mark-making supplies as these will be provided (and pre-approved by our conservation team to protect the building).
