The Georgian House is an 18th century, six-storey townhouse in the centre of Bristol that has been restored and decorated to its original glory.

Group visits

Contact us to book your visit – simply fill in our enquiry form below. All group visits of 10+ people must be booked in advance. This applies to both independent visits and paid or facilitated sessions

Adult helpers

Please bring at least one adult for every six Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils or one adult for every 15 Key Stage 3 pupils. Pupils should be supervised at all times throughout your visit.

Access

Due to the age and layout of the house, access is restricted and there is no accessible toilet. The workshop takes place in the basement and the investigation takes place around the house.

Lunch

Planning on having a picnic as part of your visit? Enjoy it at Brandon Hill off Great George Street.

On arrival

Our Visitor Services staff will show you where you can leave coats and bags. If you’ve booked one of our sessions, a Museum Educator will meet you.

You are welcome to take photographs. We’d love you to share pictures of your visit with us on social media.
