The Georgian House is an 18th century, six-storey townhouse in the centre of Bristol that has been restored and decorated to its original glory.
Due to the on-going Covid-19 pandemic, we are not taking any bookings for school and group visits right now. Instead, we are offering an online programme of webinars, assemblies and professional development for teachers. Details of our next webinars can be found here.
Contact us to book your visit – simply fill in our enquiry form below. All group visits of 10+ people must be booked in advance. This applies to both independent visits and paid or facilitated sessions
Find information on how to get to The Georgian House Museum and coach drop-off points in our Getting here section.
Please bring at least one adult for every six Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils or one adult for every 15 Key Stage 3 pupils. Pupils should be supervised at all times throughout your visit.
Due to the age and layout of the house, access is restricted and there is no accessible toilet. The workshop takes place in the basement and the investigation takes place around the house.
You can find out more about accessibility in our Facilities section.
Planning on having a picnic as part of your visit? Enjoy it at Brandon Hill off Great George Street.
Our Visitor Services staff will show you where you can leave coats and bags. If you’ve booked one of our sessions, a Museum Educator will meet you.
You are welcome to take photographs. We’d love you to share pictures of your school trip with us on social media.
