Highlight Tours: Hidden Histories, Women Artists, Muses and Rebels
This tour guides you through Bristol Museum’s Art Galleries, focusing on women’s stories from our art collection and highlighting work by women artists.
Hidden Histories features militant Bristolian suffragettes, activists and communists, a 19th century con artist, as well as scandalous secrets and untold stories. One of the artists and her family were captured and taken prisoner by pirates on their journey to America. Would you like to learn more about her story?
