Bristol has been named Museum Destination of the Year 2018 in the Luxury Travel Guide Awards!

The awards showcase the globe’s finest cities, attractions and destinations and the judging team recognised Bristol as a city that shows pride in its heritage.

We’re incredibly chuffed with this latest accolade and that the spotlight is well and truly shining on Bristol. Earlier this month Bristol’s reputation as a world-leading film centre was recognised with the announcement that it has been named a UNESCO City of Film.

The Luxury Travel Guide Awards represent the pinnacle of travel and tourism achievement, championing the best in their respective fields. All winners are subject to the same rigorous assessment criteria, carried out by their in-house professionals.

This ensures only the most deserving destinations, companies and individuals walk away with one of these prestigious accolades and gain a place in the awards winners’ guide, which will be distributed to over half a million people around the world.

The judging team recognised Bristol as boasting a maritime history with museums such as
M Shed and the SS Great Britain receiving a special mention.
