Home Educator workshop: Bristol and the Transatlantic Traffic in Enslaved Africans
Bristol’s involvement in the Transatlantic traffic in enslaved Africans lasted a relatively short time in the city’s history as a trading port, but its impact remains evident today.
This structured, museum-led learning session includes completing activities at tables with other learners.
During the workshop you will:
- Investigate historic objects and other evidence
- Investigate the impact of events on Bristol
- Learn about some of those involved in the Transatlantic traffic in enslaved Africans
- Discover the legacy of Bristol’s links with transatlantic slavery
One parent or guardian is welcome to attend this home educator workshop with their child. If you do not want to participate, please remain in the museum, in case of emergency. You will be required to share contact details upon registration.
