Release the Kraken! The work of Ray Harryhausen
Jason and the Argonauts, Clash of the Titans and The Voyages of Sinbad are just a few of Ray Harryhausen’s iconic films.
Considered one of the most influential figures in animation and special effects, Ray Harryhausen created dinosaurs, monsters, gods, heroes, and aliens. All of which will be set loose in this exhibition!
In this Bristol-only exhibition you will see over 100 original Ray Harryhausen models, photographs, and drawings.
These will be displayed alongside treasures from our museum collection including archaeology, dinosaurs, and natural history to uncover Ray Harryhausen’s inspirations and influences.
Get ready to feel the power when we Release the Kraken at Bristol Museum & Art Gallery!
Created in collaboration with Vanessa Harryhausen and the Ray & Diana Harryhausen Foundation.
