Highlights Tour: Treasures of Bristol Museum and Art Gallery

Bristol Museum and Art Gallery is a treasure house of beautiful things!

John, one of our volunteer guides, has been a visitor here for over fifty years so he knows the place well. Like many visitors who fall in love with the museum, John has his favourite items in our extensive collection and his special tour will showcase some of these. 

The aim of this tour is to provide first time visitors (‘returners’ are also very welcome!) with an overview of Bristol Museum and Art Gallery and John will take you for a walk to familiarise you with the layout of the building and its main galleries so you will then be able to find things which really appeal to you. He will also tell the story of how the museum came to be where it is and the history of some of its collections.
