Sealed Knot Re-Enactment Day

Join us at Red Lodge for a trip back in time to the winter of 1655.

It is almost Christmas, but Parliament has banned all festivities. There will be no Christmas church services, no singing, feasting or games, even the shops are expected to open as if it were any other day. There are fines for anyone caught ignoring the ban, but did the people of Bristol really give up Christmas?

The Sealed Knot Society will be bringing some illicit celebrations to the Red Lodge. Come along to find out about 17th century traditions, foods and how people kept the spirit of Christmas!
