International Women’s Day

Join us on Saturday 8 March for an exciting celebration of International Women’s Day, organised in collaboration with the ALICE Project and Bristol Council.

The day kicks off at the M Shed with inspiring activities, talks, performances, and workshops promoting women’s empowerment, gender equality, and inclusion. A women-led market will showcase local businesses, providing a platform to support and celebrate women entrepreneurs.

Kid & Family-Friendly: M Shed is welcoming for all ages, with play areas and picnic spots available for families to enjoy.

Highlights of the daytime program include:

  • Self-Defence Workshop with Emilia Jastrzebska, British Champion and Enyo Super Fight Champ
  • Circus Performances by Circomedia, including their talented youth circus team
  • Live Music from MĀDŁY, Zubieta & Suaves, and Muse Movement Dance performances throughout the day
  • Insightful Talks on women in food, journalism, nightlife, radio, and the music industry, hosted by industry leaders like Compass Group, Bristol Nights, Ujima Radio, dBs Institute. As well as a discussion led by Next Link on domestic abuse support services for women.

Don’t miss workshops like Art and Therapy by Francesca CISKA Citarella, combining art, meditation, and emotional painting to inspire creativity and healing.

All proceeds from the event will support Bristol24/7’s social projects, helping to make a positive impact in the community.
