Cultural Strategy Event
Join Bristol City Council’s Arts Development Team as we start to explore the next Cultural Strategy for Bristol.
The world and the challenges we face as a sector have changed and continue to change quickly. The current Cultural Strategy for Bristol – City of Openness, Imagination and Originators was published in 2017 and is now seven years old. It was written pre-Brexit, Black Lives Matter and the pandemic. The vision of the Cultural Investment Programme, derived from the strategy, is to make Arts and Cultural Accessible to all.
We’re in the early stages of engagement for a new 10-year strategy to make the most of our city’s opportunities, challenges, and growth through social, economic and health outcomes. We’re also working with the One City Culture Board and a councillor-led Culture working group to advise and support the work.
What is our city’s story and how can everyone be a part it?
We want the strategy to reflect Bristol and so we’d like to hear your views and thoughts. We’re starting by asking some simple questions:
- Why is culture important to Bristol?
- What would you like Bristol to feel like in 10 years’ time?
- What are the three most important things that would help deliver that?
Please join us to find out more and share your views with us on our new 10 year Culture Strategy on Friday 29 November 2024, between 11am – 1pm in Studio 2 in M Shed.
