Voices of Georgian House
Working with Bristol creatives, Georgian House Museum features two new sets of artistic responses to the Museum’s colonial past. You will encounter poems that reveal hidden stories and experience the imagined unheard voices of those that were enslaved.
These responses have been written by:
Akulah Agbami: A theatre maker, poet and writer studying a PhD at Bath Spa University.
Aaron Ayiih: A former Ghanaian TV host and an English graduate with a Masters degree in Communication.
Cleo Lake: A poet, dancer and creative writer and former Lord Mayor of Bristol and Green Party Councillor.
Please be aware that the installations feature themes of historical colonisation and enslavement that some visitors may find distressing.
