Auclair and Jessica Ashman perform ‘All Power Emanates From The Land’
‘All Power Emanates From The Land’ is an interventional music performance, expanding on the soundscape work Auclair, Ashman and sound engineer, Kyle Acab have created for Ashman’s exhibition, Those that do not Smile will Kill Me.
‘All Power Emanates From The Land’ will see Auclair and Ashman activating the emotional, physical and spiritual interiority of the characters and plants that inhabit the world Ashman has created in her work. Immersing themselves within the installation and the gallery itself, ‘All Power Emanates From The Land’ will offer a visceral and cathartic respite to the trauma of the botanical colonialism seen in the archives that inspired the project.
This event is a rare opportunity to hear and see both artists perform live, in the intimate setting of the exhibition while the museum is closed to the public.
The performance will be recorded and by attending you agree to be filmed.
