Home Educator workshop: Ancient Egypt
Our Home Educator workshop about ancient Egypt includes exploring artefacts, trying hieroglyphic writing and playing games, all inspired by our fantastic Egypt gallery.
Children will:
- Handle real and replica Egyptian Artefacts
- Investigate mystery object from Egyptian daily life
- Practice Egyptian writing on papyrus (to take home)
- Discuss mummification and play a game
Suitable for Home Educated children 7-11 years
Duration: 90 minutes
Tickets: £9 per child
Maximum tickets: 18 children (maximum 1 adult per booking)

Please meet us at the museum Reception five minutes before the session starts. If you arrive late please let museum staff know, so you can be shown where to find the workshop.
Eating and drinking is not permitted in the workshop. Crumbs attract pests and our collections are far too precious to be attacked!
