Festival of Archaeology Fun at Kings Weston Roman Villa
Visit Kings Weston Roman Villa for during the Festival of Archaeology for three days of family fun!
Explore where Romans used to live right on Bristol’s doorstep and discover amazing mosaic floors, underfloor heating and a real Roman bath suite.
Find out what tasty treats the Romans used to eat and where their food came from with our very own feast. And if that isn’t exciting enough, there’s also a trail, dressing up, a chance to handle real and replica Roman objects and some Roman-inspired craft.
We are joined for festival fun by:
- Students from the University of Bristol Archaeology Department of Anthropology and Archaeology
- Our friendly Finds Liaison Officer from the Portable Antiquities Scheme
- Bristol Library and their brilliant book bike
- The Friends of Bristol Museums, Galleries & Archives who will be cooking up a Roman feast
