Lockdown activities for families

Hello family visitors!

We’ve missed you coming to explore the museums. So instead we’re inviting you to continue exploring wherever you are – and we’re here to help you do it.

We have planned some exciting, creative activities on a different theme each week and have something for everyone to keep you entertained from afar.

Whether you’re a thinker, a maker, a painter, a baker, a scientist, a writer or just plain old bored, we’d love for you to get involved and share your creations with us.

We’ll try our best to inspire and entertain you!

The themes that we have in store:

  • Magic – from 18 May
  • Stone – from 25 May
  • Family – from 1 June
  • Creepy-crawlies – from 8 June
  • Pattern – from 15 June
  • The World – from 22 June
  • Toys – from 29 June
  • Yellow – from 6 July

Check in on our Facebook pages for Bristol Museum & Art Gallery and M Shed and our Instagram each day for hands-on activities around the themes.

Please do share your thoughts, crafts and creations with us – we can’t wait to see them! Lets keep exploring together.

We rely on ticket sales, venue hire and purchases in our shop and cafe for 41% of our income. None of this is possible while our doors are closed due to Covid-19. That’s why donations to our charity, Bristol Museums Development Trust, are more important than ever. If you’ve enjoyed these activities, please consider making a donation. Thank you.
