How can we build hopeful futures? Online panel discussion

What do our visions of the future around housing and creative communities look like? How do we build the future and who gets to decide?

Join the panellists for a discussion on how we can build hopeful futures. The discussion accompanies Building a Martian House, an installation on M Shed Square that uses the planet Mars to imagine the future and to focus discussions around resourceful living on Earth.

Panel members

  • Chair: Professor Martin Parker – Martin Parker is Professor of Organisation Studies in the School of Management at the University of Bristol. He leads on the inclusive economy initiative.
  • Ella Good and Nicki Kent – the artists behind Building a Martian House. The duo are currently making a ten year series of works called A Decade With Mars.
  • Tiny House Community Bristol – a registered Community Benefit Society, formed by a grassroots group of driven people who are pioneering a socially and environmentally regenerative housing movement for all.
  • Mollie Claypool – CEO, Automated Architecture Ltd / Co-Founder, AUAR Labs, UCL who worked on Block West – a pavilion that was co-designed and built by local residents in Knowle West.
