Discover Chocolate for Brownies, Guides, Cubs and Scouts

Brownies, Guides, Cubs and Scouts can discover more about chocolate with hands-on object handling, role play and a fair trade activity.

Children will:

  • Find out about the chocolate-making process
  • Handle real objects from the city’s chocolate factories
  • Discover what life was like in a 1960s chocolate factory
  • Learn about fair trade chocolate

They can also use the M Shed galleries, before or after the workshop, to design their own chocolate in a self-guided activity.

Suitable for: Brownies, Guides, Cubs and Scouts aged 7-14
Duration: 1 hour
Group size: Up to 35 children – you can book more than one session

Session availability: We have two sessions available at 10.15am-11.15am and 11.30am-12.30pm.

L Shed, adjoining the museum, is available for use as a lunch room on request.
