British Rock Art Group conference

M Shed is pleased to host the 2020 British Rock Art Group’s annual conference, which brings together researchers from around the world to share their work on prehistoric and historic rock art.

Day 1

12 presentations by British, Irish and European scholars highlighting the latest discoveries and key issues in rock art research.

Day 2

(optional, not at M Shed) includes a visit to Bristol Museum & Art Gallery to explore the Pool Farm Cist Slab, a stone slab from a Bronze Age burial chamber decorated with carved feet and cupmarks.

The British Rock Art Group conference is organised by Dr George Nash, Geosciences Centre, University of Coimbra, Portugal and Dr Aron Mazel, University of Newcastle, England.
