Anti-Slavery Day films

To mark Anti-Slavery Day (18 October), M Shed will show films that raise awareness of human trafficking and modern slavery.

Slave trading and slavery were not abolished in 1807 or 1834, and many people around the world, including in Britain and in Bristol, are trafficked and working in conditions that amount to modern slavery.

The films will be shown on the cinema screen in the Life gallery.

Anti-Slavery Day provides an opportunity to raise awareness of human trafficking and modern slavery, and encourage government, local authorities, companies, charities and individuals to do what they can to address the problem.

Each year more and more charities, individuals, local authorities and police forces take action to mark Anti-Slavery Day.
