EFL tours at M Shed

Help your students develop their language skills as they learn about Bristol and engage with the city’s culture. Our specially adapted M Shed tours for learners of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) will give your students an inspiring introduction to the city.

The tours take place in M Shed’s galleries providing a simple overview of Bristol’s fascinating history. Topics covered include the Transatlantic traffic in enslaved Africans and city protests like the Bristol Bus Boycott and the 1831 Bristol Riot in Queen Square. The tours are designed to improve your students’ vocabulary, grammar and listening skills.

  • Suitable for: Teenage (14 years +) and adult EFL classes
  • Duration: 45 minutes
  • Group size: Minimum of 12 students; up to 20 learners

All tours are led by a trained museum professional and are graded appropriately for EFL beginners, intermediates and advanced learners. On booking, you’ll be sent a teacher’s Resource Pack that provides both pre-visit and post-visit graded activities.
