Insect festival

Come and learn about bugs whether you love them or loath them!

Meet loads of national insect experts, have your bug identified, build them a hotel, meet crime scene insects and others.

Explore real wild bugs outside and learn about these incredible creatures through fun activities and demonstrations throughout the museum.

Join us in the schools room to build a minibeast hotel, go on a bug hunt on Brandon Hill and take a tour of the Natural History store to find out what we do behind the scenes. We’ll explain why we have such a collection of bugs, how it is used and how important it is.

We promise you’ll be inspired to love and care for insects by the end of the weekend!
