Dinosaur Takeover! for home educators

Meet expert palaeontologists from the University of Bristol who will guide this Dinosaur Takeover! workshop, especially for home educators.

Packed with thrilling and interactive dinosaur-related activities, pupils will be able to handle and examine fossils, get up close to The Bristol Dinosaur, take part in a dino-dig and learn about dino food chains. Pupils will also have time to explore the museum’s dinosaur gallery and permanent exhibits. Plus, each child can take home a keepsake fossilised shark’s tooth.

This event has been developed as part of British Science Week (11-20 March 2016).

  • Suitable for: Year 1 – 4
  • Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
  • Group size: There will be up to 25 pupils in the session
