Bristol Film Festival: Christmas

Join us for an evening of Christmas screenings in partnership with Bristol Film Festival.

Enter the museum after hours, be enchanted by live performers, and prepare to be drawn into the magic like never before. You can also choose to visit our Magic exhibition beforehand.

The NeverEnding Story
6.45pm – 8.45pm

Jump into a world of mystery and excitement with this nostalgic fantasy perfect for kids (and big kids!). Bastian’s world is transformed when he discovers a book called The NeverEnding Story in a local bookshop. When he reads his own name in the book, he begins to wonder if the story is as fictional as it seems. Find out more and book.

The Princess Bride
9pm – 11pm
While home sick in bed, a young boy’s grandfather reads him the story of Buttercup, a farm girl who is chosen as the bride for Prince Humperdinck of Florian. Secretly she still mourns for her one true love, Westley, who is believed to be dead after the ship he was travelling on was attacked by pirates. When she is kidnapped on the way to her wedding, she discovers that Westley is in fact still alive – will they be able to survive dangerous trials ahead of them, and reunite? Find out more and book.
