School loan box: Nigeria textiles

Our Nigeria textiles loan box is filled with colourful Akwete and Adire fabrics. Discover what they can tell us about textile crafts in West Africa.

As children handle and observe these beautiful Nigeria textiles and related artefacts, they will be able to learn how they were created and explore the significance of different colours and patterns.

Please be aware that our loan boxes are usually only available for Bristol schools.  We sometimes lend them to schools in neighbouring authorities, subject to availability, so please contact us. We regret that we do not deliver or collect loan boxes.
