See real sketches made by Leonardo in our Leonardo da Vinci: A Life in Drawing exhibition. Discover Leonardo’s realistic sketches of human and animal anatomy, then sketch selected museum specimens using different art materials.
The children will:
- See real drawings by Leonardo da Vinci during a guided tour of our Leonardo da Vinci: A Life in Drawing exhibition
- Gain inspiration from this amazing Renaissance artist
- Use different art materials to make their own drawings
- Observe different museum skeleton and taxidermy specimens
- Take home a free sketch book
Self-guided pencil sketching around the museum is encouraged after your workshop. Look out for our sketching Stations.
Session availability: We have one session available at 1pm-2:15pm. Please enquire about additional availability.

Additional information
Students and accompanying school adults will be given access to our Leonardo da Vinci: A Life in Drawing exhibition for 30mins during the workshop.
We encourage taking lots of photos in the art galleries and museum, but photography is not permitted in Leonardo da Vinci: A Life in Drawing.
Eating and drinking is not permitted in the museum or exhibition. Crumbs attract pests and our collections are far too precious to be attacked!
The school lunch room is available by prior arrangement and is free for schools booking workshops.
