House research from home

Have you been inspired by the new series of A House Through Time?

This one hour online talk will show you how to investigate the stories of local houses and find out about the people who have lived there.

Learn the skills to research the history of your house and other Bristol’s homes using sources held at Bristol Archives and available online.

Archivist, Anne Lovejoy will introduce key documents such as deeds, rate books, insurance records, photographs and plans.

You’ll also find out about online sources such as census records and digitised maps that can help you research your house.

How to take part

This free, online talk will be held over Zoom. Please book your place below. You will then be emailed details of how to join the session an hour before the start. Bookings close at 12pm on Monday 8 June.
