We run behind-the-scenes tours of the archive strongrooms for up to eight people. Join us to find out how we care for Bristol’s historic archive collections and to see some of the city’s most important documents.
Tours cost £60 +VAT and last one hour.
We can visit groups or societies in the Bristol area to give talks on the following topics:

- Tobacco, wine and chocolate – Bristol’s famous exports
- British Empire & Commonwealth Collection: photographic archives

Our Local Studies & Education Room is available for workshops and other group visits:

This fee covers use of the room and staff supervision of the use of archive documents.
The member of staff will provide a brief introduction to Bristol Archives.
Please book at least one month in advance.

We cannot accommodate group work in our searchroom as it is a place for quiet study.
Group research projects
We offer group inductions, to show your members or volunteers how to use our searchroom for research.
Group inductions cost £30 + VAT and last 30 minutes.
