Visitors to Bristol Museum & Art Gallery will be excited to see that our newly hung and interpreted gallery, Art in the Age of Enlightenment and the Birth of Romanticism has opened in Gallery 4 on the second floor.
Present Tense showcases contemporary painting and photography from the Swindon Collection of Modern British Art. It takes place at Swindon Museum & Art Gallery and features work by Lisa Milroy, Steven Pippin, Maggi Hambling and Jeffery Camp.
On the afternoon of Christmas Eve 1914, Agatha Miller married Captain Archibald Christie in Bristol. Records of the ceremony, hastily arranged while Archie was on leave during the First World War, are now held at Bristol Archives.
