About Blaise Community Garden

Blaise Community Garden was set up in 2013 and is run by a dedicated team of volunteers. Tucked away behind Blaise Museum, the community garden is set within the estate’s historic kitchen garden. Over the years, volunteers have restored greenhouses, cold frames and other buildings and planted a wide range of produce.

The garden now provides a chance for members of the community to come together, learn about plants, and grow flowers, fruit and vegetables together. New members are always welcome and there is plenty to get involved with from planting to helping restore other parts of the garden.

Getting to the garden

From Blaise Estate car park, follow the path past the play area until you get to Blaise Museum. Pop into the museum for children’s craft activities, storytelling sessions and visit the displays about the history of the house. Leave the museum, turn right and through the stone gateway ahead of you. Walk through the black metal gate, past the rose garden to find the Winter market.
