The Bad Taste of the Town is an artistic evening inspired by 18th century society.
Embrace an evening of big wigs, gossip, opera and gin drinking in celebration of our summer exhibition William Hogarth: Painter & Printmaker.
Artist Tom Marshman and historian Steve Poole will peep behind the patches and powder at the lifestyles of the fabulously rich and ruinously poor in Hogarth’s world. Guests are also invited to explore the museum galleries as the underbelly of the 18th century is unfolded by artists throughout the night.
William Hogarth: Painter & Printmaker will be free to enter throughout the evening from 6pm.
