I Got Snapped at M Shed! Underwatery Twitter competition

Posted on by Fay Curtis.

igotsnappedTo celebrate our M Shed exhibition Nature, Camera, Action! The secrets of making incredible wildlife films, we’re running a Twitter-based summer competition with great prizes for anyone who loves nature, wildlife film and photography.

  • First prize: underwater camera plus family tickets to a behind-the-scenes tour of BBC Bristol
  • Runners-up: 23 pairs of tickets to behind-the-scenes tour of BBC Bristol to be won

All you have to do is to tweet us a picture of you ‘in the jaws’ of our friendly shark in the exhibition. Our favourite will win an underwater camera plus four tickets for a behind-the-scenes tour of the BBC Bristol headquarters on Whiteladies Road, including the Natural History Unit. 23 other winners will be drawn at random to win a pair of tickets for the tour.

The tours will take place on Bristol Doors Open Day on 12 September 2015. Tickets are always in hot demand, so don’t miss this opportunity! You’ll get to see where natural history programmes, Antiques Roadshow, DIY SOS, Countryfile and many more shows are made; as well as visiting the news room and weather desk, meeting staff, and hearing presentations about wildlife filmmaking.

Any budding underwater camera-person will get a head-start with the first prize, an EasyPix W1400 Active underwater camera, which can be used at depths of up to three metres whilst diving, snorkelling or swimming. Nature, Camera, Action! The secrets of making incredible wildlife films includes fascinating examples of professional gear and how it’s used for inspiration. This one might not stand up to the sharks – but would be great for trips to the beach.

Tweet your photo to @mshedbristol using #IGotSnapped by 6pm on Tuesday 8 September to be in with a chance of winning.
